Error types

A comprehensive overview of all possible error types.

In the event of an error detection, the kiosk will automatically enter error mode. The type of error will be displayed at the bottom of the screen in white text on a red background. This is what you’ll see:

The most typical external errors are the following:

No internet

The Ethernet cable is either not plugged in or there is no internet connection available.

Solution: Ensure that the network cable is connected to both the kiosk and the network source, and verify that your network is operational and all network requirements are met (see network requirements here).

EPOS connection

There is no connection with your EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) system.

Solution: Ensure that your EPOS system is operational and capable of communicating with the kiosk.

Payment terminal error

The payment terminal cannot be found by the kiosk.

Solution: Ensure that your terminal and kiosk are properly connected, either via USB cable or LAN connection. If using a LAN connection, make sure the PED (Pin Entry Device) is connected to the same network as the kiosk. Ensure that the LAN cable is plugged in securely at both ends, and also ensure that the PED is powered on by plugging it in.

Scale error

The configured scale is not connected to the terminal.

Solution: The scale should be properly connected to the kiosk, and has power connection. It should be switched on, and it needs to be zeroed before use.

Initialization error

Solution: Restart the kiosk by unplugging the power cable, wait one minute, and plug it back.
