For products that change daily, such as certain meals, you can enable the ‘Daily New Photo’ feature. 

How it works

1., Open the menu and navigate to ‘AI training’

2., Open the product

3., Tap the calendar icon with an arrow located at the bottom left.

When this setting is enabled, your reference images will reset daily, prompting you to retake images for the item each day. 

Enabling this feature will pin the product button at the top of the ‘AI Training page’, ensuring you don’t forget to take new images daily.

ℹ️ Tip: Activate the ‘Daily New Photo’ setting for any main meals that change daily, e.g. Chef’s Special, Daily Lunch, Dessert Special, etc. 
Make sure to take new photos on the display plate(s) right before service to ensure accuracy.

 

How to deactivate it

You can easily deactivate this setting by using the same button after opening the product.

Plated meals best practices

• Use the actual display plate intended for serving your meals. This will enhance the AI's efficiency in recognizing the dish.
• Ensure the photographed plate accurately represents how the dish will be served during service—avoid adding any extra garnishes that won’t be included on customers’ plates.
• Consistency is key: The more consistently you plate the food during service, the easier it will be for the AI to classify items correctly.
